Throughput
A hyper-abstract city sim where every entity pathfinds in real time and the soundtrack pulses with your city. Zone, build, watch it breathe.
Build the city. Watch it breathe.
A city sim stripped to its essentials and pushed somewhere new. No popups. No spreadsheets. No fires to put out. Just zoning, roads, and a city that responds.
Every vehicle, every commuter, every truck calculates its own path in real time. Draw a new road and watch traffic reorganize. Rezone a district and watch the flow shift across the map.
The city has a pulse. Traffic flows on the eighth notes. Heavily trafficked streets glow red in unison on the half. The whole city moves in time with the music — or the music moves in time with the city. They're the same thing.
The base state is dark techno at 130. When the city tips euphoric, the soundtrack drops into 170 jungle. When it slides toward unrest, the music tells you that too.
Geometric, high-contrast, deliberately abstract. Inspired by the Atari era and pulled toward something futuristic. Built for headphones. Built for bass.
A city sim built for the trance state. The four-hour session. The kind of focus the genre used to deliver before it got buried under tutorials and popups.
Lock in.

About the developer
Entanglement
Entanglement is a studio of one developer working under the string-themed internet name that formed their online identity. The name is more than a decade old, and the studio is its continuation; the same identity, scaled up to the work.
Responsible for the surrealist mini-sensation Barrels in a Fish, Entanglement seeks new ways to leverage modern computing power for art beyond hyper-realism.
The thread that runs through everything we make is systems. Not systems as in spreadsheets, but systems as in the strange ways many small parts add up to something none of them intended. The cities you'll build in our games are not cities the developer designed. They're cities that emerged from rules the developer wrote, played by entities the developer doesn't fully control. The work is in the rules. The game is in emergence.
